You can use sculpey too. (get it @ walmart or any hobby/craft store)And actually what I was going to suggest was some sort of beginner's ceramic kit from a hobby store, since ceramic is about the hardest thing I can think of that is both malleable(sp?) in an earlier stage and readily available in any decent sized craft store. It glazes better, too so one might give it a nice, shiny, SMOOTH, NON_POROUS surface with which to work. And beyond that, I think you've got it FTFO...why didn't ya just present that plan to begin with and ask for feedback? God knows we could've avoided all this babbling on my part and I wouldn't be halfway to Carpal Tunnel Syndrom City on the Why Can't I STFU Train...! (It's not your fault that I babble so much...I was born with a motor mouth...or hands...typing digits...er, whatever. But is it absolutely necessary to incite and encourage???) Confused Wink

Sorry, but I do not understand what you mean?

I googled the words you said and got nothing that seemed in anyway related to pressing bricks....?? Care to elaborate?

wanna press powder into 'brick' depending on the quantity the pro's use a bearing press found in most garage workshops - wrap the stuff well and press - there is normally plenty of glucose type shit in whatever you are pressing to avoid adding more (unless you have just made it and then you should cut it yourself).

also some vacumn packers seal so tight that they will press any powder into a rock hard substance.

hope that helps

What if SWIM had a post pounder, those things have much power to them

what if SWIM built a metal box with no top, then a metal lid of like 1/2inch thick steel, with a solid metal pole the same circumference as the 'hammer shaft' on the pounder, welded to the lid. With the 'outprints' in the bottom of the box, then lay plastic wrap in, heat gun it so it 'molds' to the outprints, place powder inside, level it, lay another sheet of plastic wrap ontop, place lid on, place under post pounder, and drop the hammer onto the post which presses the lid down and compacts the powder against the outprints and bottom of the box???

Does anyone see any possible issues with this?
