I can explain it to you: the fact that MDxA stays in your system for >24h post administration, and that SSRIs together with serotonine release triggering compounds cause neurotoxicity in exactly these serotonergic synapses due to enormously high concentrations of serotonine being trapped in the synaptic gland...

I was hoping that you could point me to some evidence as I asked for, not give me an erronous personal opinion.....
What you have written above is again probably incorrect I'm afraid. It contradicts research such as the following:

Liechti ME, Baumann C, Gamma A, Vollenweider FX. Acute Psychological
Effects of 3,4-Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA, "Ecstasy") are
Attenuated by the Serotonin Uptake Inhibitor Citalopram.
Neuropsychopharmacology. 2000 May 1;22(5):513-521.
Abstract: 3,4-Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA, "Ecstasy") is a
recreational drug that has been shown to release serotonin (5-HT) and
dopamine (DA) in animals. The effect of MDMA on 5-HT release can be
blocked by 5-HT uptake inhibitors such as citalopram, suggesting that
MDMA interacts with the 5-HT uptake site. It is unknown whether this
mechanism is also responsible for the psychological effects of MDMA in
humans. We investigated the effect of citalopram pretreatment (40 mg iv)
on the psychological effects of MDMA (1.5 mg/kg po) in a double-blind
placebo-controlled psychometric study in 16 healthy human volunteers.
MDMA produced an emotional state with heightened mood, increased
self-confidence and extroversion, moderate derealization, and an
intensification of sensory perception. Most of these effects were
markedly reduced by citalopram. This finding suggests that the
psychological effects of MDMA are mediated via action at the 5-HT uptake
site to increase 5-HT release through the carrier, as expected from
animal studies.

Which casts further doubt upon what you are saying
Do you have any evidence that high serotonin concentrations in the synaptic cleft are directly responsible for the mediation of neuronal damage?

Fair enough. I will keep quiet about that then. Shame you won't forget your ego long enough to improve this place. It could be really good. Hopefully the Hive will come back very soon. The expertise and informed points of view we were used to there will be sure to provide a nice home for those who are looking for correct information, not speculation.

You'd be a more attractive individual if you could lose that superiority complex. |

Starlight, it is like talking to a wall - it dosen't matter how much evidence is presented, he will continue to argue that he is right.
It could turn out pretty dangerous when he starts giving people dosage advices (esp since he is a moderator), like in 4-FA thread, on that occasion he fortunately sugessted a too low dose.
You are right about the hive, only now do a relize how importnant good moderation is on this kind of forums. I really hope it will be back soon.
