The problem with Merck is that it's 500MB + and it's difficult to share using any conventional free hosting site. I would suggest becoming a productive member of the sciencemadness and you can earn a right to access the ftp a member has set up, but you will need to earn the right by contributing to the forum..................java

Ephoton, do you have a file name for that oil document? I didnt get any hits on my archive search with 'guenther + oil'. Sometimes unscrupulous people names otherwise usefull reference texts with crazy file names. And this can make lots of extra work if you have gigs of files and you start to down load duplicates without knowing because you rename everything. Needless to say, this becomes more problematic if you dont even have the origonal information.

AC can lick these nuts. If you actually shared reference texts like nubee and others maybe what you have to say would be usefull. Anyway, it was just a simple mistake. Im very well aware that double posting is not needed. This duplicat thread, outside of the 'wanted' thread should be deleted. Unfortunatly the edit feature does not allow for the originator to delete the thread. Or purhaps if I had 'edited' by deleteing all the origonal text it would have been more clear not to post anything to this thread. But not so clear now this extra posting of thoughts we dont care to hear (AC). :-p

Named Organic Reactions, 2nd Edition
Thomas Laue, Andreas Plagens ISBN: 0-470-01041-X
Paperback 320 pages April 2005
This Second edition contains consise information on 134 carefully chosen named organic reactions - the standard set of undergraduate and graduate synthetic organic chemistry courses. Each reaction is detailed with clearly drawn mechanisms, references from the primary literature, and well-written accounts covering the mechanical aspects of the reactions, and the details of side reactions and substrate limitations. For the 2nd edition the complete text has been revised and updated, and four new reactions have been added: Baylis-Hillmann Reaction, Sonogashira Reaction, Pummerer Reaction, and the Swern Oxidation und Cyclopropanation. An essential text for students preparing for exams in organic chemistry.
