As stated above... be careful with o-toluidine. You can see my little blurb from back in my less-experienced day within Cheapskate's article. I am sure to this day that there was some residual o-toluidine that crystallized out with the product and I have probably injested some of it throughout my past experiences with MQ. I sometimes worry about it to this day. It has either made me stronger or will spell my demise in the future. You can only control the present time so please do not be careless when you get your final product. Make sure your final product is very very clean. Simple crystallization from acetone and boiling final product in acetone is not enough. Find a solvent pair that will recrystallize the final HCl salt.
As far as the 'glitch' reported above, if you're going to be typing out a huge post, type it in notepad, or in the little box at the bottom here, and copy/paste it before you send it off (or better yet, every 5 minutes). First rule of forum posting, right? No? Well, it should be. I've lost way too many long, thought out posts to ever not do that again. Copy/paste is your friend. Use it wisely. The timeout settings serve two purposes: 1) being nice to the server, and 2) security for our users.
