Hi! Could not dissolve MDEA crystalls in IPA until a few drops of water added. Are there more differences on the workup between MDEA and MDMA? I thought they are 'nearly' the same... :)

Thats hard to believe, intuitively I would expect it to bee more soluable than MDMA in IPA.

Perhaps you didn't use enough IPA? did you heat it also? It may just bee slow to dissolve.

Solubility intuition only works for inorganic compunds and other things not forming hydrogen bonds and other mischief.

A case in point is the insolubility of 2C-B·HCl in water, while DOB·HCl, 2C-C·HCl and 2C-I·HCl all have good aqueous solubility.
