What your looking for is called a vaccuum trap. It goes between the vac pump and your distillation setup. If you can't find dry ice, just chill your acetone in your freezer. Change your oil after every use. HVAC pumps are not designed for chemistry and they will get fucked up. Swim has went through a few vac pumps. Change the oil while its hot and try to stay away from pulling solvents through your pump.
