Ok, all this info is second hand, but imput would be great.

After numerous attempts to end up with quality final product, SWIJ about gave up on his Norpseudoephedrine stash.

Just when he lost hope, he ran an oxidation using KMNO4, filtered, evaporated, then took the dried product and ran it through a basic RP/I.

Previous attampts with the raw Norpseudoephedrine returned 0% yield, but this time around, the yield was around 65%.

The final product burns for a VERY long time, but has a waxy like consistancy, but reports from a few associates have confirmed that the final product is good.

Any idea what SWIJ's final product is???

And better yet, any suggestions on a better use for SWIJ's Norpseudoephedrine?

I'd say you have cathinone. AFAIK the RP/I reduction does not reduce carbonyl groups. Why on earth would you want to oxidize first and then reduce?

I see no reason why it shouldn't be possible to easily reduce nor(pseudo)ephedrine to amphetamine with RP/I...

The norpseudo does not reduce as is.  You end up with zero final product.

What about an HCL boil and then run the 4MAR synth?
