This link isn't asking me for the login and password. I thought this was supposed to be locked down.

It really is better without the stars :)

as the first post says its the log in is thevespiary and the password is depidyhk

The reason you don't have to log in is probably because your computer saved the password and probably allows you to access it instantly.

LOL, I had searched and found that page but was not sure it was it. I did not want to start downloading it just in case, thanks for that!

Are you interesting in deleting the crappy threads from the Hive archive? And will the search function ever be restored?

Edit: like this thread http://127.0.0.1/rhodium/Rhodium/hive/hiveboard/methods/000534060.html

And this thread should be stickied in References or something

I had not thought about it much, the Rhodium search engine would be of higher priority. I will look into it!

Updates;
  • The patent search is back up and running exactly the same as it was when the archive was up originally.
  • Favicon added.
  • I have enabled full text searching on my site which is the testing ground! http://orgchembase.com/Rhodium.htm but will be a couple of days before it is up and running at the official site.

  • Still have not found the nomograph page in the rhodium archive to add the new tool Timcube and Disposable Stirbar got working. ???
  • In the middle of implementing full text search of pdfs and djvus for the archive (then for the database). ETA one week!

All the credit goes to Timecube.

You couldn't find it because it is under,

Chemical Data
Calculate the boiling point of liquids under vacuum

Sure seems like it should be under one of the other headings. Under the Vacuum heading might be more fitting. This stuff is housekeeping and for the greater good. I say move it, but then again, who cares what I say ;)

@DS, Done! http://127.0.0.1/rhodium/Rhodium/chemistry/equipment/nomograph.html

The search engine is functioning 100% and there is actually bonus material being constantly added, such as fulltext searching through Otto Snow and Fester books (shhh). The original pdfs from the archive will also be added for full text searching I have added a handful but many more to go! Also to reiterate the patent search is also functioning 100%.

Did I hear whispers that someone was going to download that few gig pile of refs for most of Rhod's pages and put them all up so we all don't have to download that file?...

Seriously, awesome job. It makes me tired just reading what you have done :)

Yep, I have added a full text pdf search to the archive so I will add all the pdfs from the archive also(try it out, it has some otto snow books and festers books ready for full text searching). Then the S.Wack collection has to be downloaded sorted and added in, also TimCube thanks for pimping our nomograph it has been updated. Thanks for providing it to start with! There is still much work to do (feel free to help out at ant time ;D ), for example there was a brilliant idea to recreate the Rhodium archive in a wiki so some time is being spent on working out just how that would be done;

http://orgchembase.com/wiki

Also while trying to get that search engine 100% will require some people just running searches through and looking for bugs. We have already ironed out a handfull and it seems to be running very smoothly. Just go to the Rhodium archive and use the search, if you want to see what I am talking about it still needs work to make it look better but the functionality is nearly 100%.

There are terms certain authors use more than others, for example if you wanted to test it and bring back lots of Festers results you would search for 'leuckardt' for example. Otto Snow the word 'psychoactives' for rhodium 'safrole' type searches, currently the search engines contains;

  • Rhodiums archive and only a handful of the pdfs so far.
  • Otto Snow, LSD and Amphetamine Synthesis.
  • Fester SOMM 7th.

It will grow quickly as the literature I have on hand goes in, ohh and I added full text djvu searching for OCRed djvus. I will add vogels soon does anyone have an OCRed pdf or djvu of Vogel?

The WIKI is good. This also means we will work towards expanding the information and procedures available, and add entirely new information/content as well? correct?

The search link on 2index.html is broken.  If you guys need any help with any of this stuff I'd be willing to lend a hand.  I'm quite proficient in C/C++, python, php, and java. Speaking of the site, is there any particular reason we don't have ssl here?

Patent search and the Archive search is up for 2index.htm. I will start adding more literature, I did not know people where using it.
