Swim has been following Ozbees Pseudo extraction and has only got to the first methanol extraction and has viewed a strange floating layer.
Is this normal?

chill the mixture to around 0 centigrade and filter. i think it LOOKS like MCC on top. although, with the little bit of info you've given, its hard to say what the fuck it is without GCMS. what kinda pills: mg's, inactive label, Lambert?/Brand (not sources! like, were they red when you started?). this will help you get more accurate responses in the future.

There's actually not layer, although the picture derives differently.
It's just how it looks. Swim syphoned off the top layer and got a very clear liquid that has a slight tinge of grey.
