	I think I'm the first bee to post this method... If not, I apologize. For the time release sudafed brand pills, which I personally adore due to their insane low price at the locat wal-mart the last few months, I always used an A/B extraction without filtering (I found that filtering the shit dosen't do much except removing the big chunks of plastic), just strained it, always with less-than-perfect (But still acceptable) yeilds do to that damn povidone emulsion layer! Reading the povidone soluability data posted by Worlock gave me an idea. I've never had problems filtering these pills during an initial acetone wash before... This should do away with povidone and most other extraction problems with the red hots and the timed-release pills, and seems to be better than waiting for the povidone to seperate in the freezer, and also not waiting so fucking long for the filtration involved in a normal A/B. Credit is also due to malaci and his thread "Gas station ephedrine pill extraction update" Crush pills. Wash well with acetone as per usual. Dry the powder. Add enough 30% NaOH solution to make fairly thick runny muck. Stir this shit for awhile. COMPLETELY dry Lye/pill paste. Wash w/ Acetone. Repeat Acetone wash. Keep acetone, discard pill shit. Salt: Gas as usual. Deal with NaCl formation as you feel is necessary. Probably the easier and cleaner of the two methods. Freebase or salt method: Combine acetone extracts, evaporate. Add resulting powder to NP solvent. Stir well. Wash NP with water a few times to remove NaOH. Evap for freebase, or shake w/ H2O+HCL for salt, or gas for salt. Untested as of yet, but I'll post results when I get around to testing it. Should work tho-.

	You have to remember one thing the credit goes to fester for working out how to extract these pills.Now fester says to follow the extraction in the video and forget the IPA and use heet=methanol.Then after getting your crude ephedrine by gass add very little water to the dried crude ephedrine then make alkaline and extract with toluene.The second time with water brings out shit that floats in the water and gives a very pure ephedrine this time around.The pvp is another story i do not no if fester has delt with this shit yet but the added extraction may include this shit i don't no.Fester what are your thoughts on this pvp.

	would this work for my favorite old, little blue plastic coated 240's? Of course I never used to have problems with those. Is that why I dont see um around anymore? I like your idea though!

	are blue plastic coated 240's you speak of happen to be the E_ _ _ _ _ C brand ? (timed release) i have these and SWIUTFSE has tried to "clean 'em up". Don't recall the result but am sure interested in this particular product/process. OTEECEE & meeeee!!!!
