when large amounts of rp and Iodine go off
with some water
the amounts of HI produced can get to be quite large
also note large batches have less surface area to mass ratios
the effect is self heating driving the thing faster
with contact cooling having little effect
and with the small amount of water
it got used up in the PI3+ h20 --> HI (gas)
reaction
then no water to hold all that acid gas generated
well.....
toot,toot goes the train.....
now doesnt it?
.into your nearest water trap
with all that pushing and shoveing into the 2nd bottle goes the water
untill the air has been purged from the flash and hoses
then its strait acid .....
the water will be pulled twords the source of the acid as they love
each other a whole bunch
and alto the acid gas is storming down the line no bubbles will be seen.
at the water tank,
just those lines like saturated solutions have when disterbed
as the hi goes into the water.
then you realy do have fuming hydrodic acid.!
unfourionly most of the PI3 formed was waisted turning
water into HI gas and pumping the resulten HI gas into the water trap
was that HI gas generater getting you worried?
i bet it was!
and the air from the compressor didnt slow shit did it? .
it stopped cuz it ran out of water
and luckly with just enough PI3 left to produce that good yeald after 16 hrs
of cooking
well never say die right
and did you save the acid water in the trap?
i hear good HI "no phos in it"
goes for around $1100 a gal on the black market.
