I found some threads about making Phosphor from phosphate salts and phosphorous pentoxide, but are there any compounds with the phosphate (PO4, HPO4, H2PO4) groups which are of any interest for making explosives/pyrotechnics?

I've read a post from nbk in which he says ammonium phosphate makes AN explosives more powerful but is it worth the hassle?

Just asking cause i've got 2.5L 85% H3PO4 and using it as a nitration catalyst didn't work....
