When I got my webcam, it too was missing http://theforum.virtualave.net/ubb/smilies/wink.gif the program CDs. So I called up the manufacturer and told them that I had gotten it as a gift and the person who bought it did so several months ago when it was on sale so that's why I couldn't return it for another one. http://theforum.virtualave.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif

They mailed it right out and had it within a few days.

Piece of shit it may be, but at least he didn't have to pay for the privilege. http://theforum.virtualave.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif

Could you upload the needed software to the Forum FTP for him? That IS why he posted this topic.

DarkDwarf, I agree, I've seen it working, and it isn't top notch quality, but for the price, I'm quite happy http://theforum.virtualave.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif Could you upload the Create & Share CD to the forum FTP for me? It'd be very appreciated, and I might be able to get a few good pics up here for you guys http://theforum.virtualave.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif

It's either Intel or Microsoft, (and I'm pretty sure it's Intel) who have a really stupid way of replacing damaged goods. Each peripheral has a product code, which is clearly printed on the outside of the packaging (ie you can note it down inside the shop). When you call them to say you bought something and it doesn't work, (make sure it's definitely the product that's broken - say you tried your friends webcam or whatever that is precisely the same model and it worked fine). They will ask you for the product ID code, and then just send you one out - they don't want the broken one back or anything. I know someone who got a free joystick and a scanner this way (but I haven't tried it myself yet).

Hey DarkDwarf, what's the filename? And uhh, why don't you put it in the Warez folder. I think it'd be more appropriate http://theforum.virtualave.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif
