Would silica powder work for dehyrating sulfuric acid{I know it sucks up water}?,I have some purple drain cleaner{Drain Boss 85%+} and want to get nitrating.Boiling is too much of a pain in the arse.
Also what is det. velocity of Double base Smokeless powders?
Finally would a mix of AN+ALuminium paint form an AP sensitive mixture?

If you're talking about silica gel, then no. H2SO4 is much more dehydrating than silica gel, so nothing will happen. Ordinary silica will do nothing at all. Boiling is simple and can get it pure.
I'd guess VoD of DBSP's to be around 5000 m/s to 7000 m/s, depending on NG content, density, how nitrated the NC is, what detonator you use...
Yes it would be AP sensitive if you did it right - there are already posts on sensitising AN.
