G'day all
a search of the archives produced a process in a thread from rjche about obtaining lead nitrate from car batteries i have followed this process with both neg./pos./ plates with 70% hno3 but still have a couple of questions. each fizzled away for about 24 hours then was separated/washed and dried. the neg., still grey/ the pos., still brown look pretty much as they did before addition. what are the chances of ending up with unwelcome additions with this process like amines or other nasties? is there a process to purify, decompose everything but the nitrates? i wish to use this in a cell and if i blow up the shed the wife will never stop nagging!

cheers

well i guess when you live in a country that has grown used to atomic testing, ya get used to a big bang! and as the little chicken hawk said to foghorn leghorn on the warner brothers cartoons "I LIKE IT, I LIKE IT"
