Hello,
this afternoon i did some detonations.. i had an 100gram ANAP charge(3AP/7AN) and some AP crackers of 1gram.

i was with some friends, and we had alot of crackers, so i desided to put the big cracker(100gram) in a hollow tree.(kinda dangerous to walk around with that shit)
next; i walked away from the tree to go to my friends, on a hill we setted of the crackers... all the sudden an huge BOEEEEM!! i knowt exactly what was happened, the 100gram charge must be detonated, so i rent down the hill, to see if the tree was damaged, nothing was happened! no scrapnels, no funny AP smell, no crater..nothing!
so we searched for a crater somewhere in the park, we founded nothing... so proboubly someone had stolen my cracker, and lighted it!
my life become sucked now... what if the person thought it was fireworks? (in stead of a big charge high explosives) and didn't get away quickly...o my god :( btw, sorry for my english...it sucks
i hope nothing has happened, damn...

I'm planning to do a 570gram ANAP det. Bet this will blow a nice crater! How many AN and AP did you use? I will use 500 Gram AN and 70 Gram AP + a 5 gram Blasing cap...

i was with 2 friends, in the park were alot of people with dogs...i couldn't find anything! not even an scrapnel.
so strange, the boom was very very loud, so it has to be close to me, but i didn't find anything of the cracker....this is so bizar!

I've set off about 7 or 8 APAN charges from 30 to 550g and I've never had any problems with them. If it went off by it self you shuld have found something on the tree but when you didn't someone else must have stolen it. Give us some specs on the charge- type of fuse and such.

A ) Nobody got hurt, nothing to worry about

B) somebody got hurt, but you keep your mouth shut. Aswell as your friends. Nobody is going to believe the person who took the cracker that he/she just found it in a tree...
If that person is dead things could get tight, but again , what is it that is really connecting you to this accident?

c) someone is telling some authority/paretnt whatever what happend.
Depending on damage you are all going down for some serious shit.
If this happends, dispose of everything that connects you to explosives as a hobby. And if it is one of your friends are ratting on you, take them down with you. Spread the guilt...

Are you under 18? or whatever the age limit of fully responsibilty of once actions where you can be pursecuted as an adult?

Then take a lesson and never leave explosives unattended unless intended so. And chose testing grounds wisely.

the charge was about 90grams, the detonator was an 2gram one(AP)
i use Visco fuse, the one in used was about 25cm long. the charge was in an cannister what looks like an film can, but a little larger. here's a pic:

í'm sure my friends won't tell anything, as i know them my whole life...well, whats connecting me is; i'm scared to get problems with the cops, my hobby will be over for ever... and i think i feel very very shitty if someone is killed...

there were a lot of witnesses(how do you spell this??), but none of them had seen me with explosives(that's for sure)

there isn't a good blasting area here, it's very residental... a few months ago i tested everything on a building area, but now the houses are there :)

Why is there visco coming out of your main ANAP charge and your smaller AP charge? I thought the small AP charge was to detonate the big ANAP one.

the smaller one(detonator) is in the ANAP charge. on this pic it just shows what it looks like.

That is one shit situation...never put the dets into the charge until the moment you need to use it. That way if some retard steals it, they can't hurt themselves (& if the detonators spontaneously dets it isn't such a big deal).

Are those the little vials with a flip-top lid you get for samples (DNA and such?) What size is that one? 2ml?

With that length of fuse and considering it's proper visco, I doubt that if someone did steal and light the cracker, that it was still in their hand when it went off.

I'd do as Rickard recommended, keep quiet about it and also check your local newspaper, if someone got their hand blown off in a park it'd probably be in there.

Assuming one of your friends isn't playing a joke on you, I'd say that someone got lucky that day and let off the best firecracker they ever have, or ever will:)

yes, i will check the newspaper... hehehe the person who stole my cracker has learnt his lesson! :D goddamnid...that focking asshole...it was really a scary loud boom! but that's so strange! bacause of the boom was so hard, it had to be very close..but i didn't find any evidence the cracker was detonated, no strange AP smell, no crater nothing....
when i have time(i'm bussy with school now) i will check again..

i was planned to take some pics of the det and crater, now i have nothing :mad: well, i guess that's life! :p

well - hopefully you learned your lesson too. Setting off a HE charge in a public place with a bunch of people around seems a bit risk to me... and with a bunch of dogs running around - I get images of little pieces of poodle flying across the park, with some entrails landing on the owner's mortified face.
But seriously - if you havent got somewhere safe to test / set off your gear - Take up knitting.
Personally I dont like the idea of doing this stuff with a bunch of friends either, But then I just dont trust people. It only takes one of them to let something slip and all of a sudden your making friends with Bubba.
Consider if a few giggles - and the apprecciative ooos and ahhhs of your mates is worth anal rape?
but anyway how long was the charge unnatended?
and I take it setting off fireworks in public is legal where you live, that being the case you probably dont have too much to worry about - but as a precaution Id clean out your supplies, then move somewhere where its safe to do these things. If your too young to move out - well then you have to decide whether the risks are worth it.
It seems sus that you found NO trace of detonation tho.

No, this afternoon i will check my *blasting* area aka park to check if there's any sign of detonation... (maybe i just have to look harder.. i doubt it, but it is possible)
