In swedish there is two I can recommend
(saw you where from swedish:)

1 is called Organisk Kemi, author
Lennart Eberson , some 600 + pages, covering most you need to know. It is a university book , though but starts very basic.
It has not been in print for 15 years, but can be found in almost any public library in Sweden.

2 is also called Organisk kemi, the author´s last name is something like Baumgartner.
More basic, level is about high school. this can also be found in a public library.

There is one in English that almost any university around the world is using :

Fundamentals of organic chemistry, by J McMurry

this is much more theoretical, though, not so much about synthesis.

I would recommend the book by Eberson.

as for a generall chemistry book in swedish, I recommend Allmän and oorganisk kemi, by Gunnar Hägg. Another oldies but goldies out of print, but it has 600 pages of general chemistry and 400 pages of inorganic chemistry, where it goes through the element (typical reactions, way of manufacture, uses, e t c , very useful)

Hard to come by, but could be in your public library.

As for my location, I say as much as I live in the deep south, but not more...

I'll have a look some day. The problem is that I hate reading, but when it comes to this kind of text I'll read it with pleasure. Xoo what chemestry courses did you read, I only read A 100p I've looked into getting to read B but that semes to be hard. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" />

I only had A too. I will probably start reading "technical chemistry"(kemiteknik) this autumn. I belive B deals alot with biochemistry, proteins and such.
