One thing I generally donīt like when using APAN is the fact that AN acts as a weak acid, which sensitises the AP (correct me if Iīm wrong).
So my question is whether KCLO3/NACLO3 are less acidic then AN or if they react as acid at all.
I want to try a mix of AP and KCLO3 so it would be interresing to know if anybody has ever tried this mix.

CLO3 - is a very weak base, as HClO3 is a strong acid.

I know that someone has tried this but I'm not sure who it was. BTW, change the thread title, it looks like it says "Chocolate and AP".

I thought it was something about chocolate as well. I know this should be common knowledge, but it would decrease the risk of accidental detonation if you mixed the AP and AN onsite, rather than storing it for a long period of time. I probably wouldn't have posted this if it wasn't the water cooler anyway.
