Ive been messing around with KNO3/Sugar smoke mixes for a while now. What is the best ratio (volume or weight, doesnt matter) of KNO3 and sugar to use? Ive been using more than twice as much sugar (volume) as KNO3 and it gives a very thick smoke, but neat the end it kind of flares up. I don't want this flare up. What is the best mixture to use, and is it better to just mix and pack them down or to melt them together and cast them into a tube?

The best proportion is 2/3 Suger/Kno3 you get the best results if you melt it,
I think the best way to do that is to use an hot oil bath (Read the "Kno3/Suger accident" topic wath can happend if the melting goes wrong)
