Sorry for starting a new thread on this stuff but I have failed to find an old topic about it (started by Simply RED). I mean this latter: 2,4,6,8,9,11-hexanitro-2,4,6,8,9,11-hexaazatricyclo[3.3.3(1,5).0]undecane. You can look its structural formula here: http://my-lair.narod.ru/propellane.html . RED, you were talking about a patent on this compound. Can you recall a number of this patent?

That’s entirely different stuff, Flayer. The first patent is for the explosive CL-20, or HNIW. CL-20 is a related, but distinctly different beast from hexanitropropellane. The second is actually for an explosive called TEX, again sort of related. The hydrolysis patent is to prepare an intermediate for the synthesis of HNIW

The stuff has peaked my interest though. I am going to run a journal search as soon as I swing by the library next. Where did you come by this info Hystrix?

Flayer:
thanks for these patents but I know them for some months already. And, of course, I had searched in the USPTO before starting this topic.

I have only one source of info about this stuff: http://www.roguesci.org/theforum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=136 . This is an old topic started by Simply RED, I have failed to find it earlier.

Actually the patent on this compound belongs to me. I registrated it a year ago. And after a year the material should be published in the patent magazine.
I am almost ready with the study on the OBX (thats how i called the compound).
It is 20-25% stronger than octogen.
The absolute simetry of the molecule is advantage over CL-20.
