Today I've been to a chem. supplier to take a list of what they sold. :( Few chemicals, and it seems that they're dedicated to perfumeries (there are important ones here). But a few compounds may be interesting.

In particular, they sell:
benzyle, iso amyle, hexyle,methyle salicylate
These are told to be solvents. I was wondering whether it could be used in the manufacture of picric acid. I can buy them in large quantities, though I don't know about the price (depending on the quantity you order).

btw, they also sell benzylic alcohol. it may be useful.
