cal hypo and sugar

I know that Calcium Hypochlorite and Sugar, and water combined, when confined under pressure, build up gasses, hence why little kiddies get pool shock and mix it with sugar water in a 20oz soda bottle. I'm curious as to how this reaction works....anyone care to explain? :)

Probably the sugar get's oxidized to CO2 by the hypochlorite.

No, just interested in a lot of things, and I ask a lot of questions, you have to learn on your own and by asking questions :)

Perhaps a reading of the rules which you appparently skipped doing the first time would help clarify things for you.

Like that part that says:

If you ask a question, don't post a reply to your own thread saying "Why doesn't anyone answer me?" if you don't get a response witin ten minutes (or a day in your case).

Mayhaps I'll overlook it this time...or maybe NOT!
