I have used it to stretch my supply of picric acid. It's pretty much an average of the two explosives in all departments; average DV, average power, a bit more stable than acetone peroxide, a bit less corrosive ( but you still need to protect metal surfaces ). It is good for small shaped-charges and medium strength detonators, but I really prefer to just use the picric acid as base charge and AP or HMTD as primary.

this will work pretty well. i know a kid who has had great sucess using picric as a booster, AP as the primary. he uses this to detonate ANFO
