Ok I had this thought the other day and just though I would post it up on here and see what everyone thinks.

First off I have no experience with SC's.

Ok so we all know about conical and hemispherical SC's but what about using something other than a cone or hemisphere. Such as a 4 sided pyramid or even an 8 sided pyramid.

if you think about it a 4 sided pyramid would be just like a very short linear SC

Ok well thats the big idea so post your thought's

Please refrain from flameing but if you do ohhh well.

Any shape cavity will have some effect. The Munroe effect was first notced due to a block of explosives having the manufacturer's name impressed in it's surface being fired on a steel plate- The cone shape is widely used because it's optimized for weapons use.
