If it's so important to you, why don't you send the money to a nice interested forumite who wants to buy the book, scan it in, make a PDF, send it to you via eMail and finally upload it to the FTP for all other forumites?

Can't help with the book, but you might check out "Fire arson investigation manual" on the FTP.

Edit: found some related articles: http://www.arson-codes.com/r&a/index.shtml, does anybody have an idea how to rip those? I can't install a pdf printer on this fucking school computer.

Because I'm from SK and sending money to USA or similar country... It would be pretty expensive.
But if somebody will scan it and put it on FTP, I will remember him in my prayers.
