Is it ok if i stir the apsolution (H2O2 + Acetone + HCl) with a wood stick?

I usually use a bamboo skewer and have had no problems.

The handle section of a water jug works great and is unreactive.

I use a 1.4mm wooden dowel
It's the ramrod for my spudgun.

I'm sure stirring is not necessary at all, but if you need to, I would recommend a rod from plastic or glass (wood is attacked by the HCl and the acetone, what will lead to impurities in the AP)

As I said in an earlier post, I just use a straw. They are free at a restaurant and last for a while. I think they are HDPE, they dont melt quickly. They crack a little bit at the ends after a couple batches, but they are free. I dont think they contaminate the AP much or even at all.
