The winners have all done things that first make people LAUGH, then make them THINK.
The Ig Nobel Prices are a sort of altenative Nobel price that are given out at Harvard each year. Some of this years highlights include:
- "The Effect of Country Music on Suicide"
- "Gorillas in Our Midst"
- "Pacific and Atlantic Herring Produce Burst Pulse Sounds"
- "Coordination Modes in the Multisegmental Dynamics of Hula Hooping"
I guess you could regard some of this as rogue science, too.
