Yesterday (danish time) a firework factory in denmark exploded, after several hours on fire, and has spred terror and fear in the local town of Kolding!!!

The factory, supposed to be one of the safest, exploded with a force, making the MOAB and daisy-cutter look like cheap firecrackers.... 2000 tonnes of firework and powder caught fire and exploded in a big fireball, leaving a big mushroom cloud, and more than 20 houses and factories recked or on fire.... The explosion blew in windows in large parts of the town, and the explosion was so powerfull that the shock wave could be felt over 20 km from ground zero....One firefighter was killed, and several others injured.. while trying to get the fire under controll..

More than 400 firefighters from neighbour districts were called out to help fight the flames, and more than 2000 citisens have been evacuated.

See a video of the explosion in the danish news at:

Choose the link:"Sydlige Kolding er omdannet til katastrofeområde"
Dated: 3/11: 22:00

Will return with more info when i have seen the news again....

Too bad it isn't the 4th of July, 'cause that's the baddest fireworks show on the planet! :D

I don't know when exactly yesterday was in Danish time, but yesterday in Australian time was November the 5th.

Maybe the Danes prefer to celebrate the British firework day instead of the American one :D

I think so too... But who is rich enough to have a camera and film it, when you earn a couple of bucks a month

I have found some more videos showing the big bang:

Some newssources say, that a spark from a nail, when a crate was dropped, started the whole thing.
One should think that when a company like this was one of the first to live up to the new ISO storage restrictions in Denmark, a silly little thing like a sparkin' nail shouldn't even be in a place where you store 2000 tonnes! Especially when technicians found out 3 years earlier, that a container isn't very firework-proof:

Say hello to Murphy and his wonderfull law

The government has confiscated the remaining rockets after the explosion, which supposedly started the fire. These rockets were "gook"-rockets from china, that were missing an important part, so that it was possible for the guidance stick on the rocket to penetrate the bottom of the rocket, if it was dropped, and enter into the rocket head, causing friction and heat, and thereby causing the rocket to explode. It is believed that this was the case, when the cache of rockets were dropped in the container.
I guess these accidents can happen in any part of the world where low quality rockets from the east are stored, no matter how much safety is used.
Storing these rockets with 2000 tonnes of fireworks, were like lighting a mach in a shed full of explosives.... At least the other importers won't buy cheap fireworks anymore, since they can become VERY costly in the end.

Holy Shit! I've never seen so much disrespect on this site before. It is somewhat childish. I'm curious to see what will happen. Probably so stupid that NBK wont care too much. Someone has a death wish
