Now with SuprNova gone the paying membership route. How are we all going to get our warez?

I personally think that if SuprNova has gone the paying route, then many others are going to follow suit. Does anyone know for sure when they closed the site to non paying members?

I was on there last Monday (08/11/04) and it was open to all at that point.

What are some alternatives that you use? For UK programs I use www.uknova.com - You have to sign up but it's free, and you don't get spam once you've signed up either.

So, I guess I just wanted to know what your views were on this matter, and what other site's and sources do you all use.

Suprnova looks the same to me, and is still supplying torrents.

Are you sure you're not making this shit up? :)

Are you sure that you were not at suprnova.COM? Like it says on top of the title ".com and .net are scammers!" That picture is exactly what suprnova.com says... if you don't take my word for it see for yourself. www.suprnova.com

Positive for .ORG - But my 'net connection went offline last night. And checking the ISP's server status it said they were clearing the cache.

Now when I go to suprnova.org I get the wonderful torrents. Whatever it was, it's sorted now!

Its a dirty trick.
www.supernova.org is a site posing as suprnova.org and demanding money.
www.suprnova.org is still the same old torrent site that we know and love.

It's gone now, though...

"The Suprnova Team would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year ! Also, everybody is still welcome to join us on irc (irc://irc.suprnova.org/suprnova.org) or on forums (www.suprnovaforums.net), but please remember, we are no longer offering torrents."

Anyone know anywhere new?

Well anyone can use google, even me - where I found http://www.btsites.tk/
They do a good job with their links.
My computer hasn't been shut off for a long time now. Take advantage while you can, you never know what the freedom-hating gov't/big business/LE machine will come up with next.

I've not really had a chance to check them out to great detail, but a friend of mine spends alot of time there. Looks like they are in some legal trouble, too, so...

http://www.lokitorrent.com (http://www.lokitorrent.com)

From what I hear they took on alot of Supernova's members when the ship went down. Get while the gettin's good.

I am currently a beta tester for Exeem. Its pretty good, although with quite a few bugs, lots of leechers, and not that great of a selection.

And if you want a great selection, although for parts you may have to speak dutch, check out The Pirate Bay (http://www.thepiratebay.org/frame.html)

Great site, and look at thier responses to all the cease and desist mail they get. .... Its a laugh riot.

The Loki Torrent site just went "Super Nova" I've heard... No more from them. Check it out. (http://www.lokitorrent.com/index.php) What the fuck was that? How come stealing our rights leaves no trail? Oh, I get it now...Sheeple and complacency...

At least the Dutch site (Pirate Bay) has some "cahunas" about them, or so I hope...

Damn MPAA!!!
Anyway, they close one site and in the meantime 2 new websites appear.
At the moment there're two nice alternatives for lokitorrent:

www.torrentspy.com
www.torrentreactor.net
