Good? Bad?

Does it reduce greatly in power after 24 hours?

How much do you need for a good explosion?

Anything....

Potassium Chlorate + Vaseline is listed as Plastic Explosive Filler in US Army TM31-210 IMPROVISED MUNITIONS HANDBOOK.. It also states that it can be detonated with a #8 cap.. But I never tested it. Seems abit too easy..

This explosive does work but it requires good confinement and a strong cap, #8 will work under the best of conditions. It is also listed in COPAE which states that it was used during W.W.I in anti personnel land mines, vod 3000mps. I never tried the straight potassium chlorate/ vaseline formula (9:1). I used potassium chlorate 89% vaseline 7% aluminum powder 4% in a 6" lenth of 2" ID. steel pipe and a 2g AP cap (aluminum bodied) pressed well and inserted half way into the pipe, I got complete detonation. The stuff is pretty cool, easy to make for sure

How many times has this been discussed here before? About FORTY, I think.

"Does it reduce greatly in power after 24 hours?

Eh?

Go and read COPAE.
