Since we don't have a working tracker as of yet we might as well start our own collection of torrents and software links of stuff our members would like. By our members I really mean me :)
There are 4 new sections, all self explanetory I hope.
All the books about science and engineering go into that section. I didn't want to make seperate sections for explosives, weapons, chemistry and all that because it is better to keep all that together.
The appz sections is for, you guessed it, appz. I am sure you guys know what kind of appz the community likes. I am talking scientific software, security software, stuff to make websites, pdf files, and other stuff.
What goes in misc? Well, lets just moderate that as we go along. Try to limit the porn guys. There are many things out there we might like, books on hacking, web coding, and documentaries on natural history. Information that doesn't quite fit in on The Forum, but doesn't really have a following on other torrent related sites, can find a home with us.
The requests section is for people to request files. Any forum that offers torrents will invariably get deluged with requests, so I am not going to resist it. Just be smart enough to keep all requests in the request section.
All rules, policies, and ways-of-doing-things for the torrent section will be determined as we go. If nobody likes or uses the new sections then away they go. Let us try to keep the porn, games, movies, and music to a minimum. I won't forbid that stuff outright since I like those things, and I know most of you guys do too, but most of that content can be had at 100 other sites. I want to focus on the kinds of content that is harder to get elsewhere, or would be better appreciated here. Books for example.
