"Been sitting here with my ass in a wad, wanting to speak out about the bullshit going on in New Orleans. For the people of New Orleans... First we would like to say, Sorry for your loss. With that said, let's go through a few hurricane rules: (Unlike an earthquake, we know it's coming).

#1. A mandatory evacuation means just that...Get the hell out. Don't blame the Government after they tell you to go. If they hadn't said anything, I can see the argument. They said get out... if you didn't, it's your fault, not theirs. (We don't want to hear it, even if you don't have a car, you can get out).

#2. If there is an emergency, stock up on water and non-perishables. If you didn't do this, it's not the Government's fault you're starving.

#2a. If you run out of food and water, find a store that has some. (Remember, shoes, TV's, DVD's and CD's are not edible. Leave them alone).

#2b. If the local store has been looted of food or water, leave your neighbor's TV and stereo alone. (See #2a) They worked hard to get their stuff. Just because they were smart enough to leave during a mandatory evacuation, doesn't give you the right to take their stuff...it's theirs, not yours.

#3. If someone comes in to help you, don't shoot at them and then complain no one is helping you. I'm not getting shot to help save some dumbass who didn't leave when told to do so.

#4. If you are in your house that is completely under water, your belongings are probably too far gone for anyone to want them. If someone does want them, let them have them and hopefully they'll die in the filth. Just leave! (It's New Orleans, find a voodoo warrior and put a curse on them).

#5. My tax money should not pay to rebuild a 2 million dollar house, a sports stadium or a floating casino. Also, my tax money shouldn't go to rebuild a city that is under sea level. You wouldn't build your house on quicksand would you? You want to live below sea-level, do your country some good and join the Navy.

#6. Regardless of what the Poverty Pimps Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton want you to believe, The US Government didn't create the Hurricane as a way to eradicate the black people of New Orleans [nor did Fester, though, if I could have I would have considered it ;) ]; The US Government didn't cause global warming that caused the hurricane (We've been coming out of an ice age for over a million years).

#7. The government isn't responsible for giving you anything. This is the land of the free and the home of the brave, but you gotta work for what you want. McDonalds and Wal-Mart are always hiring, get a damn job and stop spooning off the people who are actually working for a living. President Kennedy said it best..."Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country."

Thank you for allowing me to rant."

No truer words spoken on the matter IMHO... :D

Except that I believe that global warming is a very real & serious problem and that I wouldn't use a hurricane to kill blacks, I agree entirely :->.

Why isn't anyone suing the gubberment for rebuilding that underwater schittehole?

Well, as long as we're gonna rebuild the place, I vote we do it right and build a dome right over the top of it. We build domes over our beloved sports arenas, don't we? Since my tax dollars are going for the rebuild, I say this:

1) Dome goes over the entire city.

2) Move all the fools back into their below sea level shithole of a city and make them help to rebuild it. Nothing major, here, just fill it with simple domiciles and general government housing type buildings, but this time made of plastic and anchored deep into concrete foundation to withstand the effects of another flooding.

3) When finished rebuilding, seal all the exits save for a fine-grate vent at the top and flood the dome once again to finish what Mother Nature started. Seawater is plentiful and free!

4) Once finished drowning all the useless, bitching, non-working, crack smoking niggers/rapists/theives/scams we open the sluice gates and empty the city of water and detritus to use it for a penile relocation facility. All of the death row and "life without parole" inmates go in under the guise of either an age diversity or race diversity program (depending on the current problem of any given prison)... flood, rinse, repeat...

We could call the place New Auschwitz!

Meselfs:

I, too, believe global warming is a serious issue. One that should not be taken lightly. It's effects are rapidly becoming apparent, but sort of off topic, I'll tell you this: If Osama Bin Laden showed his ugly mug on a video claiming these hurricanes are concoctions of his own devices most Americans would believe it! BAAAH! I say! Sheeple... and we already know what the jackson/sharpton school of thought niggers think... we owe them EVERYTHING!

A hurricane wouldn't be my first choice for genocide, but it DID kill a few. Amen.

It's somewhat noteworthy to mention, though, that the local dogpound here uses the exhaust of a Chevy 350 engine to euthanize un-adopted pets at their facility. I saved a beautiful German Shepherd of 2 YOA from such a demise a week and a half ago. Had I room, I'd adopt a New Orleans resident, too, if they could possibly be house broken. (thought: "I said HEEL, not STEAL, goddamnit!"). On second thought, let those FEMA junkies suck my tailpipe or breath sharkpiss... :p

A 'penile' relocation facility?

OUCH!

As long as the original owner isn't tranported along with the 'penile' offender, that'd be a hell of deterrent! ;)

DOH! my err was out of tiredness and not a Freudian thing, I assure! :o It was very late when I typed that. A 'Penal' relocation facility was what I meant.

It does seem like a major crime deterent, though, come to think of it.

Wait a sec; I heard George Bush can control the weather (many people say this when he's blamed for the hurricanes), now you're telling me bin Laden has similar powers?!

The sky's falling! It's time to move to the Aleutian islands where no-one will find me!

New Auschwitz sounds like a fitting name indeed. Flood, rinse, repeat.

New Orleans residents arming themselves

By MARY FOSTER, Associated Press Writer / 6 minutes ago/

NEW ORLEANS - Sixty-four-year-old Vivian Westerman rode out Hurricane
Katrina in her 19th-century house. So terrible was the experience that
she wanted two things before the 2006 season arrived: a backup power
source and a gun. "I got a 6,000-watt generator and the cutest little
Smith & Wesson, snub-nose .38 you ever saw," she boasted. "I've never
been more confident." People across New Orleans are arming themselves —
not only against the possibility of another storm bringing anarchy, but
against the violence that has engulfed the metropolitan area in the 19
months since Katrina, making New Orleans the nation's murder capital.

The number of permits issued to carry concealed weapons is running twice
as high as it was before Katrina — this, in a city with only about half
its pre-storm population of around 450,000. Attendance at firearms
classes and hours logged at shooting ranges also are up, according to
the gun industry.

Gun dealers who saw sales shoot up during the chaotic few months after
Katrina say that sales are still brisk, and that the customers are a
cross-section of the population — doctors, lawyers, bankers, artists,
laborers, stay-at-home moms.

"People are in fear of their lives. They're looking for ways to feel
safe again," said Mike Roniger, manager of Gretna Gunworks in Jefferson
Parish.

Citizens, the tourism industry, police and politicians officials have
been alarmed by the wave of killings in New Orleans, with 162 in 2006
and 37 so far this year. A Tulane University study put the city's 2006
homicide rate at 96 slayings per 100,000 people, the highest in the nation.

National Guardsmen and state police are patrolling the streets of New
Orleans. In neighboring Jefferson Parish, which posted a record 66
homicides in 2006, the sheriff sent armored vehicles to protect
high-crime neighborhoods.

In New Orleans, police have accused the district attorney of failing to
prosecute many suspects. Prosecutors have accused the police of not
bringing them solid cases.

Some people are losing faith in the system to protect them.

Earnest Johnson, a 37-year-old chef who lives in Kenner, bought his
first gun recently and visits a shooting range regularly. "Things are
way worse than they used to be," he said. "You have to do something to
protect yourself."

Kevin Cato, a 41-year-old contractor, bought a .45-caliber handgun for
protection when he is working in some of the city's still-deserted
areas. "But it's not much safer at home," Cato said. "The police chased
a guy through my yard one time with their guns out."

In New Orleans, the number of concealed-carry permits issued jumped from
432 in 2003-04 to 832 in 2005-06. In Jefferson Parish, 522 permits were
issued in 2003-04, and 1,362 in 2005-06.

Mike Mayer, owner of Jefferson Indoor Range and Gun Outlet in suburban
Metairie, said that despite the dropoff in population, sales are up
about 38 percent overall since Katrina.

Just how many guns are out there is anybody's guess. Gun buyers in
Louisiana are not required to register their weapon or obtain a
concealed-carry permit if they keep the gun in their house or car.

In a measure of how dangerous New Orleans is becoming, guns are finding
their way into criminal hands at an alarming rate. The federal Bureau of
Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives' "time-to-crime" analysis of
the interval between the legal sale of a gun and the time it is seized
in a crime investigation is five years on average around the nation,
said ATF spokesman Austin Banks. In New Orleans, time-to-crime is six
months, he said.

This sometimes happens because of "straw purchases," in which a buyer
obtains a gun for someone not legally eligible to purchase one. Many
guns also are stolen from homes and cars.

While many are buying guns for protection, only two defensive killings
of criminals by civilians took place in New Orleans in 2006, according
to police. No charges were filed against the shooters.

Westerman, an artist who lives in the city's Algiers neighborhood, is
prepared to use deadly force.

"I'm a marksman now. I know what I'm doing," she said. "There are a lot
of us. The girl next door is a crack shot."

Gee, let me get this straight...

White people with any sense left and stayed gone.

New Orleans is now predominately occupied by blacks and those few whites too poor, stupid, or attached to the place to leave.

The murder rate has shot through the roof since the last hurricane wiped the place out.

Now anyone with sense is getting armed in anticipation of the next hurricane, though not enough sense to leave.

Liberals are saying this is a bad thing.

And the people buying the guns are forgetting that it wasn't the rampaging muds, but the police and military, who disarmed them the last time. What makes them think that won't be the case again?
