I've accumulated a large number of rapidshare links, but the fucking thing only lets me get about one download every hour and a half. Proxies aren't working because everyone else on the planet has had the same idea. :(

If someone has a rapidshare account that they could let me borrow, I'll repay the kindness by uploading something interesting for you.;)

Contact me by PM or e-mail.

Thanks.

Edit : Instead of PM, I wrote SM. Sorry for that

I found an unpleasant surprise from the use of the RapidGet download utility, available from the rapidshare.de website.

I installed it to, and ran it from, my USB dongle, so as to avoid having to run it on the public computer I was using. I entered the username/pass using a keyboard emulator program running on my dongle (to avoid keyloggers), and everything worked fine.

I have since found out that it seems someone else later used the account. How did they get the info? (I'm assuming unauthorized user, not some technical glitch or cookie error)

After checking a bit more throughly, it seems that the RapidGet program always creates a default directory on the local machines C:\ drive, regardless of where it's running from, and stores the username/password in a file called 'settings.ini' IN THE CLEAR!

No hashing or encryption whatsoever. Nope...none.

I recently discovered, to my surprise, that TorPark v1.5 running from a USB dongle can be used to omit the limits of downloads at RapeShare.

I've had the opposite experience, using the exact same thing, where I got the 'download limit reached, buy a premium account or wait ** minutes'.

Everyone is using the same proxy network (TOR), so everyone is appearing to come from the same (limited) number of IP's. And since everyone else is having the same idea:

"If I use TOR, I'll have a different IP every time, thus no limit!"

every IP is used up quick.

Maybe TOR routes traffic through optimal paths, which might make them run through a different set of IP's than someone in America.

I just downloaded "Nigger Wreck" from RapeShare using TorPark. I use TorPark to download files from Rapeshare because I get the same message, 'download limit reached, buy a premium account or wait ** minutes', when downloading from my IE browser. It seems like someone are using my genuine IP to omit the download limit.

Of course, I was surprised to find that TorPark actually was able to download files from Rapeshare.

By the way, it might be interesting to check out if Torpark routes traffic through optimal paths, with security in mind.

Every IP is used up quick? But there are thousands of proxy servers around, with which to configure a browser or download program.Up-to-date lists are available on these sites:
http://www.proxyblind.org/
http://www.publicproxyservers.com/
http://www.proxy4free.com
http://www.samair.ru/proxy/
http://anuvinu.blogspot.com/

Or, you can connect to the internet, on a browser, using an anonymous-surfing site such as:-
http://www.anonymize.net/ (Nassau, Bahamas, charge about $1 per day)
http://www.shadowsurf.com/ (Atlanta, Georgia, free anonymous web-surfing, including of web-based email sites, but unreliable)
http://www.shysurfer.com/ (Chicago, Illinois, ditto, supports SSL log-in and POST for free, but unreliable)
http://surfshield.net/ (Houston, Texas, or Washington, D.C., ditto, unreliable)
http://proxify.com/ (ditto, Dallas, Texas, works well, but POST access (e.g. log-ins) and interactive content are available only to paid Proxify subscribers, $US40 for 6 months)
http://www.guardster.com/ (ditto, in Houston, Texas, works well, free anonymous surfing including POST log-ins, but $10/month or $20 per 6 months for encrypted SSL access)
http://nonymouse.com/anonwww.html (ditto, in Frankfurt-Am-Main, Germany, works well, can do POST log-ins except where cookies are required as it refuses cookies (e.g. http://mail.yahoo.com requires cookies))
http://www.the-cloak.com/anonymous-surfing-home.html (ditto, San Francisco, California, free anonymous surfing, secure HTTPS access, but does not allow free POST log-in except for a payment)
http://www.anonymizer.com/index.shtml (ditto, San Leandro, California, free anonymous surfing, also provide free censor-free internet service to China, but does not allow POST access to mail sites like http://mail.yahoo.com except via a 7-day trial of Anonymizer Anonymous Surfing or payment for it).
http://72.36.167.98/~phproxy/ (Dallas, Texas)
http://www.megaproxy.com (country cannot be determined; cannot POST or log-in)
