Currently, I'm in the process of uploading most of the FTP to a webhost. I've
paid for up to 2 years. This site will be DOWNLOAD ONLY. All uploading will
be done to the current FTP. This is being done to spread some of the
bandwidth to another source and lessening the bottleneck on the current
FTP. After uploading, I'll create the webpage and supply its name in this
thread. All FTP accounts will have access to the site with the current
usernames and passwords.

Very nice, thanks for doing this. I am curious, are you given a specific speed for this paid site, or is it x GB/month? I am just curious.

350 GB hard drive space and 3500 GB bandwidth per month. I saw some
webhosts offering as much as 5000 GB bandwidth per month but they had
restrictions on how much HD space could be used for different types of files.
One such site imposed a 5 GB limit on video. That won't work for me
because my VIDEO subdirectory is almost 13 GB and growing. Anyway, I've
seen download speeds from these webhosts exceed 400 KB/SEC in some
cases. Thats certainly faster then the 96 KB/SEC I have available from the
current ISP.

Currently, there won't be any access to the site until I get all the files
uploaded, create the user accounts, and implement the webpage for it.

Wish me luck !

350 GB hard drive space allocated... How big is the whole FTP at the moment?

Not counting private accounts and special projects, the amount of data
available to FTP members is approximately 145 GB. As expected this will take
a considerable amount of time to upload because I'm not shutting down the
current server and it will use some of the 96 KB/SEC upload bandwidth.

It's going pretty well at the moment. I'm using 2 computers and unless the
IT guys at work spank my ass the larger files will be uploaded via the work
computer. At work, the bandwidth is at least 10 times greater than what I
have at home. I'll keep plugging away. One thing I learned about work
environments - MAKE FRIENDS ! They let you slide sometimes !
