I'm wondering, has anyone done any electrophoretic deposition, say of TiO2 or something similar? I'm looking for introductory literature, theses, etc., that would explain the general technique in some detail and shed light on the variables involved, but I'm not having much luck.

Did you already see the following? It gives a pretty good overview:

http://www.mtm.kuleuven.ac.be/Research/C2/EPD.htm

The list of references at that site is also pretty extensive, with plenty of free PDFs:

http://sirius.mtm.kuleuven.ac.be/Research/C2/pdfguide%20Ceramics%20research%20group%20publicati ons.htm

Just out of curiosity, what was it you were thinking of using the process for?

No I hadn't seen those sites before, thanks for the links. The second site apparently has some pretty good papers available.

Anyway, I'm working on anodes for electrolytic production of chlorate and perchlorate. One of the things I'm interested in doing is putting a TiO2 coating (as a barrier layer) onto a graphite rod.
