Infowars.net:

Disgusting video footage of New York cops clubbing and arresting peaceful Tibetan protesters who were merely walking down the street has gone relatively ignored beyond Youtube.

While stories emerge out of China every day of police beating and killing Tibetan protestors in the streets, the same sort of behavior by cops in America tells its own story.

The footage was shot at a free Tibet peaceful assembly in New York on the 14th of March.

It shows the protestors holding flags and signs and peacefully walking down the street towards the UN building in the Turtle Bay neighborhood only to be accosted by police officers with batons.

One officer identified as "Delgado" is seen in the video pushing people as the group crosses the street.

Another officer, identified as "Serano" is caught threatening to kill two protesters as the cameraman passes. He later admits to the threat and apologizes for it.

As the group nears the UN building, cop cars and vans screech onto the sidewalks, cops pour out and begin to beat the protesters with clubs as UN security guards observe without becoming involved.

A non uniformed officer, who seems to be directing the entire operation, then orders the cameraman to step back and move away.

"Look at these cops, clubbing people in front of the UN, unbelievable, protesting to free Tibet, cops clubbing people in their legs on the sidewalk, in front of the UN in America, unbelievable, this is not China." the American cameraman announces in disbelief.

The officer identified as Serano then forces the cameraman away from the melee, telling him to shut the camera off and that he will not talk to him because he may be a reporter.

Several officers then follow the cameraman asking him about his recording of the incident.

China is a big trading partner of the U.S. and they are very bitchy when it comes to critisim of their human rights abuses, so the protesters are beaten, its just "good buissness".

Actually, if I am correct, China is the LARGEST trading partner of the US. On one level that may preclude any war we might have had w/ each other but in another it puts a great deal of pressure to make both nations bow to the other's absurdities. China didn't speak up about it's issues with Iraq and the US keeps quite about Tibet.

On a cultural level, Tibet is not China in it's history or cultural idiosyncrasies. There is a unique vivaciousness about Tibet that imbues it with cultural elements that are absent in China's cities. Prostitution and minor law-breaking occur in Tibet on a scale that would be unheard of in China. People speak their minds with ease and clarity. China is not N. Korea but it is viciously repressive. Tibetan charactor is such that it won't fit easily into a Chinese cultural mold or common governing mechanism.

I don't mean to imply that this is a deficit of Tibetan character in any way: I'm merely stating a fact that is something China reflects on quite often. In so saying, Tibet will never be Chinese. In it's character and demeanor, it's unique to the region. It's a sad fact that it seems that Tibet will be repressed out of existence. Chinese troops and government officials are there in force to do exactly that.

Not only the largest trading partner but also the biggest foreign creditor of the USA.

"Currently, China holds over $1 trillion in dollar denominated assets (of which $330 billion are U.S. Treasury notes)." And still accumulating assets.

"In comparison, $1.4 trillion represents M1 or the "tight money supply" of U.S. Dollars which suggests that the value of the U.S. Dollar could change dramatically should China ever choose to divest itself of a large portion of those reserves." China's financial workings and economy has become a bigger threat to USA than any WMD. They got Uncle Sam by the balls...

I think Canada is still the U.S.'s largest trading partner. As for precluding war, well at least Uncle Sam won't want to go to war, but China, they do want to be #1 superpower, and I believe they will be willing to take on anybody to get it.

The way China is pouring ethnic Chinese into Tibet it will soon be just another province, with a tiny minority of "ethnics", China hopes soon Tibetans will soon be a memory in Tibet.

They (China) got Uncle Sam by the balls...

Actually China has the U.S. by the money, which is worse, because you can live without balls!

Interesting...the video has been removed by the user.
Another point to make, people dont care about this in america as this makes them look bad, however everyone knows that the chinese are horrible people.
If this was on the news it would make the 'worlds greatest country' on par with China for human rights, they cant afford that after 9/11 and the Patriot Act.
Funny name that really, "If you really love your country and the freedom it represents you will give up all rights and freedom you have!"

Did anyone manage to download it? If so, please upload it, and give us the link for downloading it. Of course, everyone knows that the Pigs are Fa$cists, and rabid Bu$h supporters, - minions of the moneyed classes, who ever since the time of Mussolini have financed the rise of Fa$cism. They probably thought that beating up those Tibetan protesters in New York would earn them promotion.
