Where to hire someone?

Does anyone have any thoughts on this dilemma:

I need to hire someone to help me with a project I'm working on (just some manual errands and keeping watch on my 'safe house' for experiments I don't want anyone to peep on), but since the things I dabble in are rather gray area I don't want to advertise the position publicly.

I don't know anyone in the area so I can't ask any of my acquaintances for help, so where can I find the kind of people who'd be willing to take on such a job and who would keep their silent about what they see there?

You are asking us where to find someone to watch your dangerous, top secret, evil experiment, correct? If you couldn't think of a solution to your 'dilemma' how you even mustered the ability to sign up to this forum and ask this retarded question is an amazing feat in it itself!

My suggestion? Go talk to those in the BFL section, they may be able to help you.

Any three letter agency would be very willing bend over backwards to help you out in any way they could. They'd even send someone out to a location of your choosing to talk to you to be completely sure they understand ALL of your requirements of such a helper. They'd even record the conversation covertly just so they don't miss anything important.

I think I remember that most members of a couple religions would probably mostly work as long as you don't let them find out what you're up to. I'm not willing to plagarize more. In any case do you really want to invite someone to your lab so they can report you as a drug chemist/dealer/terrorist/whatever for the 1000 or is it 5000 bucks now. anywho there are paper books sufficiently near the subject, find them and read them. SOT My phonebooks have a blue pages section for govt stuff which is what festergrump was writing about.

I got this note written on a postcard from Vozduh today - mega

I didn't need to call anyone in the blue pages after all, they called on me. These nice government men came to my house to help me. They were really considerate too since they came at 4AM while I was asleep, they just let themselves right in. They gently shook me awake, but I must have rolled off the bed, and because it was dark they seemed to have accidentally stepped on my neck and back. They were kind enough to help me up, and two fellas even personally escorted me to the back of their car. They even made sure I didn't bump my head when I got in. We went for a little ride, which was nice of them, and I got to ride in the back like some rich fella with a chauffeur.

At the end of our joyride I got to sit in the big mirror room. I bet some kinky stuff goes on in there, why else would you have a big mirror on the wall. I had a nice long chat with a couple fellas, we talked and talked for hours and hours. One guy was nice, he got me a couple cans of soda, but the other guy seemed a little cranky. After a few sodas the cranky fella told me they didn't have a bathroom here, but I think he may have been mistaken.

Since we stayed up and talked so long into the next night, the fellas were nice enough to let me sleep at their place. I got to wear these cool bright orange PJ's and sleep in a cozy little room that even had a toilet right next to the bed. How cool is that? I even had a roomy, with matching orange jammies. I guess it got a little chilly because my roomie crawled into my cot with me in the middle of the night. Funny story, you wouldn't believe where his hands ended up while we were sleeping. I bet he felt embarrassed, but I was too polite to say anything.
