well theres always the issue of money. this is the 3rd free host we've tried so far, so obviously a good free host is hard to find. also, like i said, some UK members and mega are working out a pay server to host it on. i could pay 19.95 per month to get more space and some extra bandwidth. however with the others already trying to do this, i don't want to invest and then have them set theirs up and me loose a months worth of money.

are you having problems with speed? what is your location? i am on the east coast USA and it fast enough for me.

www.godaddy.com (http://www.godaddy.com)

It's a great place for redirection.

as in...
www.theforum.com (http://www.theforum.com) ==> http://35.your.ip.78

And this will cost only $20.

Of course, someone has to run the server, which isn't that hard if you have a good connection.

When I said: http://46.your.ip.72

I meant http://21.35.165.111

or whatever your IP is.

I didn't mean the numbers i meant, just trying to say it is whatever your IP is.

:) I've fixed that little problem. For those of you that don't wish to type in a long URL you can use http://forum.superkuh.com/ or http://theforum.superkuh.com. If needed I can make pretty much any subdomain neccessary. I'll have that domain for the next year and a half, and I am almost completely sure that I'll be renewing it for a good 5-7 years in the future. It should be fast/stable enough for our uses.

About webhosting: I've searched far and wide for a cheap host, and the best I've found is HostRocket (http://www.hostrocket.com/products/shared.htm). They offer cgi/ssi/php, ect with 350Mb of space and 15Gb of bandwidth for around 9.95 a month. If paid-for hosting becomes an option in the future, take a look.
