Some 5' shells.

this are very very nice rockets, there weight is about 650-750 grams.

Yes, 6000 american dollars, somethimes even more.
This year i won't buy fireworks, i go buy more chemicals and glassware... both are easy to obtain.

This is what I don't understand. In belgium (maybe euro?) you can't really own a gun, but you can buy monster huge fireworks in stores. In the US, you can buy monster huge guns, but no fireworks except on the 4th of July (most states).

Why can't we have both?

Well, it isn't that hard to get weapons in belgium, you can even buy or steal semtex here. Visit the town of Charleroi...
I walked with my scoped airrifle right past the gate of parliament here, and i'm only 17 and the shop made no fuzz about putting a scope on...

In the ardens there are some mining facilities which use semtex as well as blasting gelatine. They deliver it in amounts of 10-200kg in a van at 6 o'clock in the morning in an almost unhabited area without protection. Go figure....

Sometimes i get tempted to sell explosives, if you know those stupid gangsters are willing to pay more than 2000$ for some measely 2oz of PETN or semtex

They call Charleroi the Parlermo on the banks of the river Sambre.
It has an astounding high violent crimes rate, robberies, attacks of money couriers....

You can easily steal explosives from mining sites i ment. Especially blasting gelatine which they need because of the hard granite rocks.

Vulture: I whas watching the Belgium news on VRT today and they said something about Charleroi i heard someone saying Quote:"They shoot with millitary weapons there"

I never heard about it before what's going on exactly and why is the crime rate so high there?

Mr Evil:I just can't believe your friends buy for over $6000,- of fireworks you would need a big truck to transport it, and how would they sett it all of in one night? (Even if they would start setting it of earlyer it would take a very long time to ignite it all)
It would sound more logical if he would re-sell it illegaly to other ppl,but still $6000,-

Dutch people make me laugh:) I take it the cops showed up in the 4minute video?

You can get most of that stuff in the UK, with the exception of the crackers and the mortars which were banned in a knee-jerk reaction... Thing is you now see 2"-3" single shot roman candles - not like they just took the mortars and side fused them to circumvent the law:)

mr.evil
March 20th, 2002, 10:22 AM
DarkAngel; they go several days a year, with an Truck. 6000$ isn't so much when buying proffesional fireworks like 6" shells, pro-cakes(3") etc.
They set it off the whole day+night(31 december). But i know for sure they will save alot for birthday party's etc.

Anthony, what's so strange about the cops? i know a story about a guy, who fired the whole day firecrackers, after a few hours one cop on a motercycle showed up, dumbasses :D
but are you trying to say, that the cops in the UK show up after a minute or less? that's pretty shitty.

The cops arent so quick here, at least not smart. :) Erlier this week I saw four cop cars with about 10 policemen talking to 4 drunk people that verent even agressive or anything. And the other day a guy had a brake in in his car so he rang for the cops. "hello I've just had a brake in in my car could you come and have a look? NO we don't have any cars availible." Kinda makes you wonder what your tax money goes to!!

I live in a small vilage (about 200 people) the cops drive by here about once in two weeks or something. We sometimes fire guns in the backyard without anyone complaining. On new years eve I set off 130g AP in the garden. No one cares around here, good for my hobby!

People who live next to firework factories have no reason to complain if it blows up. Just like people who live downwind of a toxic chemical plant (Bhopal, India for instance) have no right to bitch if they get gassed one day.

If you live next to an imminent death hazard for years, you've accepted the risk and have to deal with the consequences when the dice come up snake eyes.

DAMN! that was amazing!

Now why don't they construct firework factories there, like the ones constructed in the U.S?

I saw a show on a U.S firework factory, where it was a bunch of little bunkers spread out in an open area. Each bunker can only hold two workers, and the floor is coated with rubber. And it was NOT located in the heart of some dense residential area. It's a lot better having one bunker detonate, rather than the whole damn factory exploding at once!

Just goes to show you that flashpowder isn't to be trifled with or taken lightly.

And why didn't the fireworks people post flyers on phonepoles or such in the area to let people know about their presence? If the owners were killed in the explosion than it's a moot point, but if they're still alive, they should be held accountable for not letting people know about their presence in a residential neighborhood.

Did they ever figure out the cause? Probably not, given how totally demolished everything must have been, judging from the pictures.

vulture
March 21st, 2002, 11:54 AM
Well, the fireworks were stored in containers they use on seaships. They were not suitable for fireworks and there were too many.

The cause has not been determined yet, but because their is alot of footage, it's known that there was a small fire, which caused a small explosion which threw burning particles everywhere. Now this wouldnt have been a bad thing if one of the doors of a container with G1.1 unprocessed compositions hadn't been open...
It caught fire, exploded and all the boxes next to it exploded, triggering a chain reaction.

IIRC, all houses in a 500m radius were destroyed, those within 1km had roofs blown of and fires and up to 2km windows where shattered.
The forensic guys couldn't recover anything from the "blast" site, there's a deep crater, in fact they have never recovered shrapnel of the containers, it's assumed that they were totally vaporized.

there are 23 people killed and hundreds injured. The cause of the disaster was an asshole who was playing with fire, he's in jail now.
but anyway, the Owner of the Fireworks company to, he didn't clean up the labs, so i think there was a few kilo's of BP etc. in open containers, ass you can see; the littlest spark or heat can cause deflagration-detonation.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Actually, hentai comics are japanese porno comic books. These can either be "serious" or funny. But they're always smutty.

For an example, go to here, then click on the "manga" button on the left. You'll see what I mean.

Though these tend to be LARGE downloads of 10Mb or more per series. Some of these mange are 200 pages or more.

NBK, why don't you upgrade to 56k? The modems aren't that expensive, I have about 3 old ones laying around the houes. I have DSL, so i can get all the porn movies I need on morpheus. I like to use getright for my downloads. Works well and i like being able to download from multiple sites at the same time to make the download go faster.

NBK and other people that live in California, do you know of any good places to buy legal fireworks? I know that you can buy fireworks, just not sure if there are restrictions like during July only or something. I would do a search, but it's getting late and i just decided to post this with my above post before I crash.

nbk2000

You're talking to someone who used to have a T1 speed (3Mb) cable modem connection.

Believe me, if it were as simple as getting a 56K modem, it'd be done. But, you see, I have 2 already. It's not the modem, it's the phoneline. I live at the end of the line in the middle of nowhere, 5 miles from the middle of nowhere cowshit town. Between the decades old phone wires, distance, water seepage, etc, I'm lucky to be able to talk, let alone get 26K modem speed. :(

But I'm moving soon, back to the big city where I can get a decent cable connection. :)

As for fireworks in california, forget it. It's only permitted to be sold the week prior to July 4th. And it's the wimpy "safe and sane" shit. That means nothing that explodes, leaves the ground, or shoots a projectile. In other words, no crackers, rockets, mortars, shells, roman candles, or anything else worth a damn.
