Why? KClO3 is far more preferable to NaClO3.

Read this and you'll know...

Oh sorry, i just realised that you asked for NaCl...
For the procedure shown at wissers page you'll need 53,29g NaCl instead of 68g KCl.
(68g = 0.91 mol KCl --> 0.91 mol NaCl = 53.29g)

KCl is easy to get! As a salt substitute, or cheaper as water softener refill salt.

I can buy a 50 pound bag of KCl water softner crystals for $9. But sodium free salt substitute (KCl)at the supermarket costs $1.5 per 4 ounces.
Go figure.

I don't live in US and in my country you can't just walk in to a supermarket and buy it
are there anyway to make it from other chemicals?

What country do you live in? I'm sure it's available somewhere, you just need to look hard. Supermarkets aren't very good places to find 'useful' chemicals. Try hardware stores, garden centers, DIY stores etc.
