EGBAA-(Azido-acetic-acid-2-(2-azido-acetoxy)-ethylester)
(an Azido binder)
Has anyone got any info on this energetic binder (anything)?
As far as i know, glycol is reacted with Chloroacetic acid which gives Chloroacetic acid-2-(2-Chloro-acetoxy)-ethylester. Then reacted with Sodium Azide?
Information on this or any other Azido binder would be greatly appreciated!
In particular synth procedures.
Would it be compatible with RDX? (just cheaking) http://theforum.virtualave.net/ubb/smilies/smile.gif

Please ,check PEP journals the topic titled”Synthesis and Classification of Azido Polymers”found inVol24 page#159-162.There is discussion about it.See Mega's journal file in
http://theforum.virtualave.net/ubb/Forum5/HTML/000906.html or directly to
http://jopeap.0catch.com/v24/issue3/v24pp159-162.pdf
It is new product so there are few data about compatibility with crystalline explosives ,theoretically it would be compatible with RDX.
