haha, now you will likely have a cat problem instead of a mole problem.
to turn the discussion in a slightly more drug oriented direction, if one were to aquire some aluminum phosphide could they "safely" oxidize it to phosphinic acid?
i mean the main problem i see is over oxidation to P(V) or generation of phosphine.
or what about PI3, this would be of potential use to a chemist, presumably AlP+I2--> AlI3 + PI3, although i have no idea if the reaction would be controlled or explosive in the solid state, and excess iodine would have to used to prevent formation of the subiodide, nor do i know how you would seperate the AlI3/PI3. but once you had the PI3 you could concievably dissolve it a NP and slowly mix with water to generate HI and phosphinic acid.
even if this could be managed in the US at least you have to be licensed to obtain/use AlP pesticides but maybe someone is friends with an exterminator.

You could also try HN3, by just pouring NaN3 in there and then spraying some dilute acid over it.
It is more poisonous then HCN. |
