I don't remember my source, but I have read articles about the heavy metal contaminants in ecstasy, and it seems like all were around the maximum recommended levels for drinking water. As a pill weights less than a gram, then you realize what miniscule amounts there were.

This did not apply to (meth)amphetamine though, in there purity varied wildly.
