Would it be most instructive to audit for general tryptamine
theory background ?

Also, are there some analytical portions that aren't that instructive ?  I have a reasonable math background but am lacking the chemistry.

P.s. I did find a few links to web sites with topics that the search engine of the site uncovered, but I am not sure how that maps onto a typical organic chem. class time-wise.

Rhodium

Reactivity of heterocycles, pyrroles in particular and indoles specifically. For the side chain, just check up on general (alkyl)amine chemistry.
