Hi , you professional chemists out there! I have read the paper on the improved wacker oxidation method(s) (

https://www.thevespiary.org/rhodium/Rhodium/chemistry/wacker.improvement.html

) , but my chemical knowledge is too low, to check this. Can one explain me in simple words how to get some advantage out of this paper? The only thing i catched, was that some acid should be used, to speed up the reaction and to increase the yield. greetings & thanx  :-[
