Journal of the Brazilian Chemical Society (J Braz Chem Soc)

Journal of the Serbian Chemical Society (J Serb Chem Soc)

Indian Journal of Pharmacology (Ind J Pharm)

PS: Check out 2(3), 67-90 (1970) ;)

Some old chemistry journals available in PDF:

- Comptes rendus hebdomadaires des séances de l'Académie des sciences (Compt. Rend.) (1835-1930)
- Berichte der Deutschen chemischen Gesellschaft zu Berlin (Ber. D. Chem. Ges. or simply "Ber.") (1868-1901)
- Journal für praktische Chemie (J. Prakt. Chem.) (1870-1930)
- The journal of physical chemistry (J. Phys. Chem.) (1896-1930)
- Philosophical transactions of the Royal society of London (Phil. Trans.) (1665-1927)
- Proceedings of the Royal society of London (Proc. Roy. Soc.) (1832-1930)

They are available since they are "public domain". This makes that only the OLD issues are available, not the new high-tech editions. However, SWiM finds them most interesting.... ;) Also, think twice before you start downloading all volumes. Speed isn't great, transfers are often interrupted and ftp access is not 24/7. However, if you are not a computer n00b, you'll find alternatives... :)

Edit: and here is the link, hehe:

Rhodium

Free Issue of the new journal "Foundations of Chemistry" which is dedicated to the Philosophy of Chemistry. Interesting.

NIDA Research Monographs:

http://www.drugabuse.gov/pdf/monographs/

There are some very interesting monographs. Shulgin is co-author is a couple of chapters. Nichols is to be found somewhere as well. Use Google Advanced Search or browse them all through  ;)

EDIT - Personally, #146 was rather interesting...  ;)

free fulltext & abstracts since 1999.

(
note: at least in my browser the fulltext menu only links to the
last 12 issues, but older ones can be downloaded by using url-spoofing.

This site just allowed me to download the full text pdf of an article from Perkin Trans II, year 2000 [will post later]. Could be coincidence, could be a source for more.

A load of free Chinese chemistry-related journals on ChIN's list:

http://www.chinweb.com.cn/ListPageE/L136.shtml

The page mentions if a journal is free or not (free in most cases). Sometimes, you are redirected to a website named "Wanfang Data" and you have to register a username if you want access to the abstracts or fulltext articles. Problem: the subscription page is only available in Chinese (while the journal TOCs are usually available in English as well as Chinese), so there will be alot of sweat and tears if you don't master the language  ;) .

And I'm sure many of you know this, but alot of Universitys allow access to full text journals on their Library webpages when you connect via a proxy server using a username and password of a student.  So if you have any college age friends, you can obtain free access this way.
