Safrole + IH ---> Iodosafrole

I chill safrole for 48h with 70% HI(2degrees) then I have Iodosafrole. Is that right?

One of the best ways to halogenate safrole is by the use of DMSO and Sodium Halide with a little conc. sulfuric acid.
