DPT cleanup

Hi!

After swim finished the DPT synth ala shulgin he purified it severel times via A/B. The result was still a brown viscious liquid(the HCl salt) and no nice crystals. What do you suggest to purify it? Recrystallise in acetone perhaps? Or is it essential to vac distill it?

If so, what kind of vac should be used and what temps?

If you have performed the synth according to Shulgin´s method how come you haven´t found the bp of DPT. It is there in TIHKAL. You know that there is a link to TIHKAL at the very bottom of this page. Use it!

Recrystallisation is always highly recommended if any consumption is to follow.

I did not state my real question quite clearly, so ill try again.

Is it possible to obtain a crystalline material from the brown liquid/solid via acetone recrystallization?

And the bp in tihkal is with a real oil pump. Swim only has access to a compressor vac, so that makes the bp somewhat higher. But it would be preferred if vac distillation could be avoided...
