Hanswurst, I was only referring to a single pdf. It's still online here, search for a thread called: Why must reflux take 30 hours

I would dearly appreciate a large collection of tramp's work!

LOL . Entertainment for morons disguised as news . But same same with CNN , BBC and euronews ........ where the ' news ' readers are reporting about the ' news ' in terms of facefuck posts ....... with world changeing themes like the penguin that died in montevideo zoo ...... people celebrating and cultivating ignorance for comercial and political reasons ...... = Idiocracy .

I'm looking.  I have a stack of hard drives; it's on one of them.  I did find the original link Tramp gave me but, like him, the link is dead.  It's his stuff from 07 back.

>what exactly do you suggest is done to improve?

A thread about separating the Philosopher's Stone from Neosporin ointment using Alkahest extracted from Band Aid pads.

Really, just like embezzler said, forums have been dying a slow death for years. BBS gave way to Usenet. Web forums pushed Usenet into obscurity several decades ago. Now it is all about memes, "status updates" and 280 character idiotisms. Progress is often less a linear climb than it is a fractal mutation. Evolution is change due to circumstance, not growth for the sake of betterment. There is nothing wrong with The Vespiary or the members here that wasn't wrong with The Hive. It is just times changing and attention spans snapping short, while expectations and our sense of entitlement grows. Knowledge as a commodity is less relevant. Google knows all, applying all that information is somebody elses' problem.

"I never imagined a day when I would think to myself, 'it is beneath my dignity to respond to the President of the United States.'" Mark Kornblau, proving that sometimes 140 characters can say plenty about the times that we live in.

For The Hive:

"Johnny let his baby brother sleep
Through the back door and baseball
All the kids are waiting outside
Old days come and go too soon
Old friends, heroes, lifetimes
Don't let a single memory fade away"

And we have to consider the really huge impact that the easy access to whatever drug people wish to buy nowadays had for us.

Of course, partially that was the fault of the hive as a coincidence, since I read somewhere some bees made a business out of the production of certain exotic research chemicals, 2C-C was mentioned for example, and I would not be surprised if that includes many other exotic substances as well.
At least in the short time before the chinese took over this business completely, of course...

But regarding the option to purchase the usual illegal drugs over the internet, that is also of more importance for us and our hobby loosing popularity.
Back then, people who liked for example MDMA or meth, just came at some point to thinking how they could make these things just themselve instead, but now?
Before thoughts like this could come up, the next order was simply made, cheaper than it was ever too...
And given that ideas like "how do I make xxx?" for many people come up in times of having no access or having no cheap offer, this is much rarer in our present time.

Anyway, I am sure that will change some time, not long but we maybe have to endure a few years of some form of a draught.
We will get through this surely :)
As long as there are people who are, as lugh said, still covalent bound to chemistry and as a swarm together too, no problem in my opinion :)

Oh, there is also some group on reddit discussing our hobby, I have not really looked much into them, but at least a handful of people there seems to be also enthusiasts like us :)
We will never die out I am sure.
At worst, a "genetic bottleneck" for our knowledge... but I also think that won't happen, because that would take probably a few decades of no influx of newbees.
Edit: it is called "theehive", that group on reddit...

Carl, I agree that, in a very real way, The Hive contributed to the demise of underground drug chemistry as a hobby. It did so by serving its stated purpose though, something the main contributors can be proud of. Obviously, that doesn't make information exchange about our revered topic obsolete, but it took a bite out of the hobby, for sure. At the very least, it eliminated those who were involved because of lack of availability, by exponentially increasing it.

TheeHive looks like it has some people who are interested, although chem-savvy participants are the exception rather than the rule. Still, it is hope that not all Apoidea have left the proverbial building. The fact that drugs are more easily available than ever makes it even cooler when someone wants to do it themselves. I don't even mind that so many of the posts look sudafed related. It is the DIY spirit that counts most, not the chemistry knowledge or scale. We all started somewhere, and most of us never planned to build a superlab, we just like to grow our own, whether it is from seed or from precursor.

But I do think the real heyday of clandestine chemistry has passed. It is just changing. The herd is slimming. Wide availability eliminated some, and competition cut out all but the most ardent capitalists. All that remain are the curious and the genuinely interested. And they are the best people anyway. And a few of the good ones probably started out trying to extract meth from Vicks inhalers based on a text file that was written before chirality was invented. It is on us to resist the urge to be shitty to that aspirant, and not scare them away or insult them back to the stone age.

In Redditspeak: "TLDR" There is always hope. The bee book is still being written. The fat lady has not sung. She is still waving glo sticks, and blowing up on the dance floor.

Hi guys... I was at the hive a just a small amount of time, maybe a month or so. The majority of my time was on WD.
At the Hive was such pricks, that newbee like me was scared to post, they will flame me to death, and make me never post again.
That fear guided me through all 3 or 4 wd forums.... I read maybe 5-6 years before i had a single post... And thank God for it.

My mentor was Tramp... RIP crackwhore, you was something special.... My first post on WD was not how to do something, but i post a picture of extracted PSE,
and ask olderBees to look if it was clean [i run the burn test, little, pinch of discoloration]. The almighty Tramp said to me that if he was me, he will not hesitate to
run that pse.... I was with head over hills... I will remember that sentence to the day i die.

After that i had my first rxn success.... In summary i had maybe 10 rxns [LWR with rp/i2], more then half success other miss...

Before that, ONE man glued me to the screen of hive and wd.... His language was a bit strange, but i understand every word he writes... It was WAREAMISE...
My God, how i admire that man.... He was THE MOST HELPFULL bee there [along geezmaister]... The most funny guy with weird stories how he did rxns and extractions... Always positive and funny. In those first days Wareami and geezmaister was the only authority i will listen NO MATTER WHAT!

Along that first years, there was also Android and Dwarfer... Android was arguing with Ware that the short/dry was on par with LWR... Ware and geez dissagree...
Dwarfer had a also funny stories with his extractions and failures. But those 4 guys was a brains of whole community.

Fast forward, i made my first rxn, never traid MA before... Then i tried my product... MY GOD! That day was something special... i was hooked....
Then Tramp kill himself... What a fucking tragedy.... i was sad for days.... I can't believe it... but life goes on... RIP Tramp, my good friend and crazy crackwhore!
Then Android lost his battle with hep... I didn't knew him well, but i was not happy for it... Another legend died. Android RIP.
Then geezmeister decide to gave up the game... I don't know why, i don't know... He just flush all his glassware and tools down the river... Or so said it to me... I saw it one or two times on collective... He was maybe the SMARTEST of all at the community. If you read this, contact me man please...
The collective goes down, the Zonez are down, WD are dead community...
I was ready to revive the WD, with pictures and details [like a live] extraction and rxn. I asked Ware for help to attach PDF on WD... Ware answer me that he had spine surgery, the car hit him. He was ok, and said to me he will get back to me when he get out the hospital... That was last year...
He didnt reply, i sent him another message he didnt reply. Then WD goes down... Strange...

Now i am here and saw Java said wareamise, Ware and the kids, are dead................

I looked in my monitor and cryed.... silently cried for hours...... my wife was on one step to call the emergancy.... The english was not my native and she didnt understand what i read....

The man which humour was soooo attractive that i want to get in that community, which make some MA, and do what this positive guy do... Nevermind that i am not from US [former communist republic in europe], we dont have hardware stores and everything is restricted, even 96% EtOH... And i made it... Ware was guilt for my interest in making MA... God, what a guy... and he is not alive.... anymore.... fuck....

I decided that i will do the last LWR for the memory of WD.... I didnt made it 4-5 years, but i WILL do it. And i will ask all WD refugees to answer me one small thing. Do you remember the LT method from Ware? Just to ask you in the Tetra wash, are only tetra, or small portion around 10% of LT, which whom pse is extracted? Just that one detail i need. And i am good to go. I started gathering precursors. I will document here everything i did. From *ilss to MA. Picture and text.

p.s. Before Tramp died, he/she, gave me his documents to save it. I can zip it and post it here. Also i have some saved WD pages on hdd. i can zip and post it too.
I will ask everyone if someone have some saved pages of WD to do the same.

p.s.s. HOW WARE DIED?

Stay well.

That is indelicate Baba...  :(
We know you did not like him, but try to leave such a rather low comments to yourself, please.

@blinky, please post his documents, they are really valuable.
I only have his mescaline extraction .pdf, and that was really something.

If you want to talk about pill extractions, I have to point to the pill extraction thread, here it is only allowed to discuss these thing there.
Here: https://www.thevespiary.org/talk/index.php/topic,14705.0.html
You can post your final reduction then, if you attach the corresponding document as file to your post, to supply it with the needed reference in that section, in "Drug Synthesis & Extraction".
Please not here in "News", as this section is as far as I know visible to guests.
Maybe put them in another thread in the same section as your reduction, since the documents in itself are the reference material?

Thank you for that offer to give us his documents, and good luck with your project.

Speaking of dead members, Neil Tomsheck died in a motorbike accident.

He probably wasn't the most prominent member, but he was a great friend (even best in regards to this stuff) to me since significantly before this site, 2005ish?

You guys probably know him as: Doucherman or ArmedElectronix or other things.  http://williestop.tripod.com/contact.html

Some news articles that mention him:

http://prev.dailyherald.com/story/?id=331330  (his arrest for being a "scientist")

https://www.chicagotribune.com/news/ct-xpm-2008-02-06-0802050503-story.html (school age vandalism)

https://chicago.suntimes.com/news/man-27-killed-in-motorcycle-crash-in-genoa/ (his death).

Out of all the people, I think I related to him and Naf1 the most. Loved talking to those guys, sad to see so many people go away through out the years.
I remember someone, think it was No1uno, made a comment like that years back and didn't really understand what it meant, but it seems to be ringing true.

Hey blinky, really please do come up with that zip file of tramp posts you have!

Swim is also a long time fan, first knew him on the nook as "me!" and later through the wd sites. Knowing he was out there added a certain presence to my world of those years. Man he was out there.

After he died realized that a lot would be lost if his posts die with wd.
