SWIM has around 100g of the primary explosive HMTD (hexamethylenetriperoxidediamine) which he wants to dispose of in a safe and responsible manner. Can anyone tell me how to do this without causing detonation? It is currently stored under MeOH. Thanks!  ::)

It can be decomposed by iodine (iodine tincture is fine) in basic aqueous solution.
